The St. Matthews Area Revitalization Team (SMART) is an adhoc committee, consisting of seven members appointed by St. Mathews’s Town Council. Those members are Linda Archie-Simmons, Amanda Avildsen, Susie Boykin, Sara Fairey, Michael Inabinet, Ed Morris, and Barbara Powell.The team meets at least once a month to discuss issues important to downtown revitalization.Meetings are open to the public and participation is encouraged.The group is always interested in hearing ideas and suggestions.

Mission Statement

The Mission of SMART is to bring about the revitalization of St. Matthews and Calhoun County based on a proactive agenda involving the entire community.
